Holy…
… good gods, my legs HURT. hehe. I whipped those fuckers left and right up and down and side to side… gonna have to go next weekend again on sat or sun… have to go pretty regular till my legs get built up. Obviously uses the legs quite considerably different than I normally do running/biking or leg work in the gym. Which is good, the more variety in the way you exercise a body part the better it goes… but woo… agony. Anywho, onward and upward! Looked at some parts to build my skates, not sure what I wanna go with yet but was thinking some Carrera boots, Bones Reds bearings, black hooptie wheels, and a competitor chassis… should let me ride right nice… will end up running me about ~210. Which isn’t to bad a price really, I’d like to upgrade to bones ceramic bearings in short order though and maybe witchdoctor wheels… i’d much rather have the targa boot also but it’s hard to find. I did find a pretty good deal (or at least not a bad deal) a Riedell 122 invader boot, invader 7mm chassis, t-rex 62mm wheels and abec-1 precision bearings at 230$… but A) abec-1’s are about the worst bearings you can buy… and B) i’m not thrilled with the 7mm chassis, i like 8mm better. shrug little and not what a pro would way but it’s my taste here ;o) It’s hard to decide, but I don’t want to spend more than 250 initially, I can always up the bearings and wheels later at a reasonable price. The chassis plate is a bit more expensive and I think it’s where I’ll end up spending most of my cash on the whole setup… ditto with the boot, if you are going to upgrade boot and chassis then just get a entire new set… shrug. Funny, I just found some hardcandy plates… I broke a set of those in the 90s and a friend of mine had 3 sets and just kept breaking them left and right. I like aluminum or steel alloy although they’re way heavier… more durable. At this point I’m trying real hard not to splurge when I buy these things heh. A 800$ pair of skates would be bad… or good… but bad anyways know what I mean? ooh found a site with a better selection of wheels… but a bit more pricey will have to search around for the ones i decide on to see if i can find them cheaper, but i do like this site alot better… pity its not cheap too. :/ heh for fun, riedell jammer 911 boot, bones cermaic bearings, sure grip power plus wheels (firm), and roll line driver plate, a meer 812.85. hehehehe I wish… :o) Onward to the world of realism!
